On 24th July 2010 Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance landed at the world famous race track, Silverstone, to rescue a patient who was involved in a high speed collision.

A 50 year male, from London, was driving when his vehicle was involved in a high speed collision. The WNAA crew were quickly on the scene and landed close to the track. They immediately located and assessed the male who was suffering from severe back pain.

The crew administered pain relief and made him comfortable before airlifting him to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further tests.
