Emily-Jane Clark from Leicestershire was seriously injured when her car collided with a bus. She was stabilised on the scene and air lifted to hospital by the Air Ambulance.

EMILY-JANE'S STORY...

“Without the Air Ambulance I would not have seen my wedding day.”

I suffered a punctured lung, fractured pelvis, split urethra and an open arm fracture when my car collided with a bus.

It was rush-hour traffic and I was losing blood fast. Without the help of the Air Ambulance team and their quick response, it would have taken three times as long to reach the hospital and it may have been too late.

I was told the Air Ambulance crew freed me from my crushed car and gave me a speedy and safe passage to the hospital. I can’t thank them enough. I was planning to get married a few months later so all my wedding plans had to put that on hold and while I recovered.

Looking back on it I’m sure that without the Air Ambulance I would not have seen my wedding day.
