Local Business

Corporate sponsorship is of course vital if WNAA is to meet its £2 million fundraising target to extend its flying hours and life-saving service.

There are a great many ways that companies can become involved with WNAA, from sponsoring this website to repainting the entire helicopter in your organisation’s corporate colours and logo.

For more information on how your business can become a 'Life Supporter', please contact us on 08454 130999 or email: enquiries@wnaa.co.uk.

We are delighted to be supported year in year out by local businesses and we value each and every contribution.

Ordinarily charitable donations are given globally; however this year, AEB wanted to donate to local charities in its home countries and amongst these, chose to support WNAA.

Their visit to the office re-enforced their choice and all
enjoyed having a look around the helicopter, speaking
with the crew and hearing how their fantastic donation
of £3250 would help to fund life-saving missions.

Barclaycard

The partnership that has been forged between WNAA and the Northampton Based Financial giant Barclaycard is truly fantastic. Barclaycard were one of the first major supporters of WNAA when it first began operations in October 2003 and the association has been strong ever since. However it is in the last two years that the partnership has really developed with the sterling efforts of Northamptonshire Fundraising Manager Tracy Grunwell and Barclaycards Community Affairs Manager Louise Ellington.

WNAA was awarded the top prize of £10,000 in its 2007 Northampton ‘Make a Wish’ campaign. WNAA were overwhelmed to receive this award and this started a great working relationship with Barclaycard and now many departments within Barclaycard have chosen to support the WNAA through individual fundraising efforts.

Last year, WNAA attended to a fatal car accident in which a Barclaycard colleague, Kelly Hone, was tragically killed. Kelly’s young son Keelan was in the car at the time of the accident and was rescued from the car by the WNAA. He was flown to hospital, where he made a full recovery. Kelly’s brother, Daniel MacHardie also works at Barclaycard in Northampton. He and other colleagues within Kelly’s department hold regular fund raising initiatives to support WNAA. Daniel and three other colleagues have also recently completed a cycle ride from London to Paris and whilst they are still recovering! raised over £25,000.

Bike Riders and HelicopterOn 22nd October 2009, a Three Men, Three Ladies and a Bike took place. The following people from the Northampton branch of Barclaycard took part: Will Scott, Tony Corby, Andrew Bradbury, Cheryl Rice, Christine White and Kerry Power.
